Opened in 1991 and operated by the private sector, the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) is the largest permanent exhibition complex in India. Since it was opened, it has accommodated numerous famous international fairs and exhibitions. With more than 40,000 sq.m. of air-conditioned exhibition space in four halls, good traffic connections as well as numerous hotels and leisure facilities in the close vicinity, the fair complex offers outstanding conditions for top-calibre events. The Essen Welding India is being held in hall 1.
The Bombay Exhibition Centre is ideally located on the Western Express Highway in Goregaon and can be reached from both the international and national terminals of the airport in ten minutes. It takes roughly 20 minutes to travel into the city centre.
